Feb. 29

Temp: base -6 summit -6
Skiing: it's cold, cold, cold today with clear skies, lots of sunshine and little wind except for at the very top of the quad. wind chill values will be extremely cold, so cover up your face and crank up your boot heaters. the snow is terrific, grippy and carvable.

Feb. 27

Temp: base 25 summit 16
Skiing: the mountain is reporting 8-10 inches of fairly light and fluffy new snow. there's no way around it today; you may just have to show up late for work. the forecast is calling for temps to drop by tomorrow to about zero.
**the rumors are true! starr is groomed. well, the mountain groomed it two days ago. they also groomed chin clip in anticipation of the storm. the very upper part of starr was not groomed, but it's seriously worth checking out. should be excellent today.
