Feb. 22

Temp: base 10 summit 5
Skiing: it's lightly snowing on the mountain with no wind at 9 a.m. lots of trails are groomed and the skiing is fast and grippable and very fun, according to a report phoned in from the quad. we've noticed the disappearance of a thermometer at the top of the quad, making it difficult for skiers and riders to know how cold it is at the top. we'll try to find out why the mountain moved it.

Feb. 20

Temp: base 12 summit 0
Skiing: loose, frozen granular and groomed conditions prevail on the mountain according to reports from skiers and riders today. it's chilly, fast and firm to boot. though there was a dusting of snow last night, the mountain didn't get any significant accumulation. the forecast is calling for the temperature to drop below zero overnight, and it's pretty cold today, too so bundle up.

Feb. 19

Temp: base 27 summit 15
Wind: calm on the bottom, but a bit windy at the top of the quad.
Snow: lots of grooming overnight, but chilly temps have made for a hard surface. good fast skiing is the report from the mountain today. at 9:30 a.m. the lift lines were not crowded. heads up because though it is mild in town it's chillier than you think on the mountain. flurries are in the forecast for later today.

Feb. 18

Temp: base 40 summit 40
Wind: windy today with higher gusts.
Snow: warm temps and precipitation have added moisture to the equation on the mountain. mixed precipitation should switch over to snow as temperatures fall back to 20 degrees or so by tomorrow.
