Well, the report today is pretty simple.
About a foot fell last night on top of about six inches yesterday. So, get there early. I have a feeling the crowd at the lift is going to be quite large.

Feb. 6

Temp: base 29 summit 26
Wind: pretty calm.
Snow: 4-5 inches fell on the mountain by the time the lifts started turning and there's more on the way according to local forecasts. the weekend is shaping up to be an epic one at Stowe!
Other: today's Woodchuck Wednesday with $35 tickets and free Stowe cards being handed out until they're gone. quite a deal. skiing is fantastico!

Feb. 5

Temp: base 30 summit 28
Wind: windy with strong gusts.
Snow: 4-5 inches, but changing over to rain.
Other: powder and packed powder conditions and the skiing is great. the weather is another story though. dark and windy and getting wetter.

Feb. 4

Temp: base 26 summit 18
Wind: calm.
Snow: a dusting last night on the mountain. it's groomed but funky snow still. precipitation tomorrow should help.

Feb. 3

Temp: base 27 summit 15
Wind: west wind today, but not too strong.
Snow: lightly snowing right now. the snow is a little sugary. friday's storm left some of the strangest snow, more crystals than flakes, which makes it difficult to bond together. grooming helped but it will scrape off easily. stick to the sides of the trail where the snow will accumulate.
