Jan. 18

Temp: base 26 summit 20.
Wind: not too windy, about 10 mph at the top.
Snow: its snowing up on the hill today. so far, there's about 4 solid inches and it's wet, but not too heavy. snow showers are supposed to stop this afternoon
Other: obviously, the new snow has freshened everything up considerably. yahoo! skiing is terrific.

Jan. 17

Temp: base 12 summit 14.
Wind: about 15 mph, making it quite chilly.
Snow: no new natural snow, but the mountain has done a great job making snow. Groomers are really nice.
Other: we are supposed to get 1-2 inches tonight, then up to three tomorrow. not a ton of snow, but it will freshen everything up. tomorrow is the stowe schuss, a run over super g and a run of slalom over on spruce. the skiing is great. bundle up and head out.

Jan. 15

Temp: base 24 summit 18.
Wind: pretty minimal.
Snow: 5 inches from yesterday is making for a nice fresh layer on top of firm frozen granular. the skiing is really good on groomed terrain. nicest day in a few.
Other: sunny, clear and crisp. the mountain has been making snw to account for a lack of natural stuff and the skiing is good. ski bum race #2 today over on little spruce, starting at 11:30 a.m.

Jan. 14

Temp: base 28 summit 18.
Wind: very windy, about 25 mph out of the south.
Snow: tough and scratchy conditions over the weekend should be remedied by snow on the way. the mountain reports it did lots of grooming overnight - "over 50 trails." still, don't expect much until we get some new snow. Frozen granular...Stick to Nosedive, Liftline and Hayride. light snow falling right now.
Other: so far, weather reports have been correct. january is supposed to be a low-snow month. 2-4 inches are on the way, but maybe this southern storm will sweep a bit further north.
