Temp: base 22 summit 18. it is expected to warm throughout the day 28-37
Wind: light becoming stronger later.
Snow: still phenomenal. but a chance of precipitation (don't want to actually say the "r" word) could be bad, so ski as much as you can before it does. no big accumulations on the horizon.
Other: Partly sunny this morning becoming cloudy with a chance of snow this afternoon. Chance of snow is 20 percent, they say.
Tonight there is a 40 percent chance of snow with temps in the mid 20s. The snow will taper after midnight.
Sunday should be a pretty nice day, mild and not too windy - partly sunny they say, too.
Everything is skiing like a dream. Get to the woods early because the weekend warriors will be fiending for freshies.

Jan. 2
Temp: base 10 summit 3.
Wind: yep. a stiff frigid one.
Snow: about 7 inches of new snow this morning, but up by 8:20 a.m. the quad was slow to open and skiers stood in the freezing cold for 15 minutes before people were let on at shortly after 8 a.m. the ungrooomed stuff was sketchy early, but it's probably better now. obviously the woods are terrific.
Other: it's really darn cold. dress warm.

Happy New Year!
Temp: base 22 summit 16.
Wind: gusts up to 20mph.
Snow: as good as it gets! the mountain has received 8-10 new inches of light, fluffy snow yesterday and there's another 3-4 on the hill today. it's still snowing.
Other: a terrific start to the new year! "holymoly!" let us thank whoever is responsible for this ample and regular snow dosage. could january possibly be better than december?

Dec. 31
Temp: base 25 summit 18.
Wind: pretty calm.
Snow: 6 inches of nice, relatively light snow - carved up by 8:00 a.m. it's nowing still and somewhat wet, but the skiing is excellent!
Other: minimal lift lines as of 9:00 a.m. you can ski right up to the ticket checker. they are making snow on hayride and lift line and national are ungroomed with powder and moguls. skiing in the woods should be real nice with that hard base, just don't get too aggressive and break through the crusty areas. nosedive is groomed and skiing very well. get up there! what are you waiting for?
